Young Parents

Young Parents

BACKGROUND

We love working with people who help others in need, which is why we were so excited to work with Young Parents GTA. Young Parents is an organization which offers help and hope for parents ages 15-25, and their children, and is part of Youth Unlimited Toronto. They wanted to create their own unique brand, separate from the YU brand, to promote their amazing services and support for young families.

When we heard the vision a picture came to mind and evolved into their visual identity, as well as a teaching tool, to express the YP vision and mission.

They needed a full branding package and website which would allow for them to have a strong visual identity and an online hub to provide resources and information. The logo was designed using the letters Y + P to form a tree; a symbol of strength, shelter, play and nourishment and these four themes reflect common goals in their organization.

Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf

BACKGROUND

“Our message is a simple one. “Make a difference in someone’s life by making tomorrow better than today”. Our services to our community began in 1956 in the lobby of the Evangelical Church of the Deaf on Wellesley Street and that desire to make a difference is just as strong now as it was then.  We are not done. As we reach out across the country we will overcome many challenges and break through countless obstacles. We will meet the needs of those we serve. One person at a time, one life at time.”

— Derek Rumball, President

Mission: To provide care and opportunities in a communication-rich environment that enhances the quality of life of those we serve.

WEBSITE, ACCESSIBILITY

Website

So it’s been a month since we’ve launched the very beautiful website that you have designed for us.  We have heard nothing but positive feedback from everyone.  In fact, a couple of the agencies that came to our launch were so impressed that they said when they’re ready to redesign, they will want to use you guys J

One little story that I’d like to share with you, and I hope you will not find it offensive, and hopefully be able to help you in winning many more contracts down the road:

As you remember from the RFP phase of our web project, we have solicited different designers/agencies for a formal proposal, and each of the committee members has reviewed every submitted proposal thoroughly.  Despite the fact that I personally felt some good vibes with the proposal, feeling that your team was very, for the lack of a better term, ‘user-friendly’; the general consensus from the whole committee was that the proposal did not directly touch on our requirements stated in our RFP.  In fact, you guys were almost not considered for an interview, it wasn’t until one of the committee members stated that everyone has come so far and so close and that we should keep an open mind, and an additional 30-45 minutes of interview time should not be a reason to ‘close the door’ on a team that, although didn’t provide a proposal that addressed our concerns, has given us ‘intangible good vibes’.  Once we had you guys in for the presentation, the committee was unanimously impressed, Chad had touched on every single point we were concerned about.  And the rest, as they say, is history.

Thank you again, Rhubarb team, for the awesome site.  I definitely will not hesitate to recommend you guys!

Best wishes,
Fred on behalf of the Rumball Organizations

Moving Art

Moving Art

Background

Moving Art is not just a dance studio. Moving Art is a Centre for Performing Arts that connects all the arts to create well-rounded performers. Moving Art is a professional training facility in the areas of dance, drama and music. Everyone is welcome at Moving Art and quickly becomes family!

We’ve been part of Moving Art’s growth for years. Watching Carla and her Crew pour into the young lives they were entrusted with we knew they were worth investing in. We’ve revamped their online presence, gotten them rolling on social media and handle all of their promo and show materials.

Heart of Ruth Mission

Heart of Ruth Mission

Background

Heart of Ruth is a charity, based out of Gede, Kenya. It was in need of a brand identity that could enhance and identify to people just how amazing this not-for-profit company really is. Heart of Ruth works diligently to enhance the local community, by helping with nursing clinics, the local orphanage, school and church ministries. Its long-term goal is to create self-sufficient, positive growth and bless the local orphans, struggling teens and populace.

The goal of the brand for Heart of Ruth is to help create awareness and increase funding – looking both professional and reflecting the local Kenyan style. We specifically created the heart in Kenyan patterns and shapes, used in local culture.
