Kaspa Communications Framework Collection
Researched and Written by Chad Ballantyne (Rhubarbarian) of Rhubarb Media
A Note from The Rhubarbarian
Over the past four years, Kaspa’s communication, educational resources, and public-facing narrative did not appear all at once. They developed gradually as the system matured and as the community grew around it.
Rhubarb Media has been part of that journey since the early months of the project. Working alongside core contributors, business development professionals, and community educators, we helped shape the initial visual identity, narrative structure, and educational direction that many people now recognize as “Kaspa.” Much of the foundational storytelling, brand interpretation, and ecosystem-facing communication has been refined through continuous dialogue with builders and long-standing participants.
This collection reflects that lived process. It draws from years of embedded involvement, ongoing discussion with core technical voices, and practical experience translating complex systems into accessible understanding. It also draws on our broader background in brand and communication work across many industries, now focused on supporting Kaspa as it enters a new stage of infrastructure maturity.
The intent here is not to replace what has come before, but to give clearer structure to what has been evolving. As Kaspa moves from early concept and exploration into broader real-world integration, its communication needs to mature alongside the system itself. This collection reflects that progression. It gathers the positioning, narrative interpretation, and communication direction that have developed over time, while also acknowledging that the system now operates in a different context than in its early stages. The goal is to provide shared foundations that match Kaspa’s expanding role, so contributors can communicate with greater clarity as the project enters this next phase.
Kaspa has grown through community participation. This collection aims to support that participation with clearer tools as the system’s role expands.
Note: This work draws on three decades of experience in communications and marketing, along with several months of focused writing and development. An AI assistant was used to help refine language, improve cohesiveness, align terminology with core technical writings, and correct grammar. Appreciation to everyone who contributed to the process, whether through thoughtful discussion, constructive challenge, or spirited debate.
How to Use this Collection
These are not presented as official documents. This collection represents work developed by a Kaspa community member with a background in communications and marketing, offered in the spirit of helping Kaspa grow into its next stage of adoption.
These documents are designed to work together, but you don’t need to read everything at once. If you’re new to the framework, starting with the Key Messaging and Positioning Framework and then moving through the Narrative Framework and Strategic Communications Plan will provide helpful context. From there, you can explore the sections most relevant to your work.
Contributors can reference individual documents as needed, while the overall structure helps keep communication aligned with Kaspa’s evolving role.
Kaspa’s communication grows the same way the system does, through open participation supported by shared structure.
These are working documents and part of a living collection. Although there are sample ideas and campaign themes, these are meant to be more foundational in nature and any new and creative campaign that flows can be built off it, but not meant to be added to them. The aim is to refine them together into a foundation that can support Kaspa’s next three to five years. Access is currently limited so this group can review thoughtfully. The PDFs are provided for structured reading, and the Google Docs are open for comments, corrections, questions, and additions.
Please do not share these publicly until there is broader alignment on the content. They are written primarily for marketing, communications, and business development audiences. While accuracy matters, these are not technical papers or GitHub-style documentation.
